Invitational Choral Festival

April 13, 2019

Thank you for your interest in attending the EMU Invitation Choral Festival!  Our festival is a one day festival with special guest, Jake Runestad. This spring, our festival will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and our final performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.

This event is open to SATB choirs throughout Michigan and Ohio.  All attending singers will combine to make a large Festival Chorus and will spend the day learning from our outstanding guest clinician, Jake Runestad.

In addition, we will invite several of the most accomplished High School choral ensembles to give a solo performance on the Pease Auditorium Stage. Each participating ensemble will receive a private master-class with Dr. Brandon Johnson and will join the EMU Festival Honor Choir for a day of music making with our festival conductor.

Participants will check in from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. the historic Pease Auditorium on the main campus of Eastern Michigan University - Ypsilanti, MI.
