     Welcome and Opening Address

     Open Rehearsal:

  • 1:00PM "Lincoln" from Mount Rushmore with the EMU Symphony Orchestra, directed by Kevin Miller and the Combined Choirs, directed by Brandon Johnson
  • 2:00PM Rio Grande, & Winter Dreams with the EMU Wind Symphony, directed by Mary K. Schneider

8:00PM Pease Auditorium

     CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT:

EMU faculty artists and friends present solo and small ensemble works of the 21st Century featuring Michael Daugherty’s Monk in the Kitchen, Walk the Walk, Jackie’s Song, Used Car Salesman, and excerpts from Labyrinth of Love, Letters from Lincoln, and The Gospel According to Sister Aimee.

     GALA CONCERT:

EMU Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Choral Union join forces to present Michael Daugherty’s most recent works, including Vulcan, Winter Dreams, Rio Grande, and “Lincoln” from Mount Rushmore, as well as works by other 20th Century composers.
