The Office for International Students and Scholars assists and advises international students and scholars in their unique educational and personal goals. We offer programs that engage the EMU and local community in global awareness and learning.

 

Announcements: 

September 2024

Students can drop of their SSN Letter and Travel Signature requests outside advising drop-in hours. Advisors will review and process your request, student will receive an email when their documents are ready to pick up. 

 

April 2024

USCIS had previously announced an updated filing fee for the Form I-765 when students apply for employment authorization. When filing for OPT/STEM students will now pay $470 for the online application, and $520 for the paper based application. This fee increase has been implemented starting April 1st, 2024. For additional clarification, please see the USCIS website's FAQ on the USCIS Fee Rule.

OISS has converted to an all new digital forms platform, previous hard copy forms have been discontinued and will no longer be accepted. To submit a request please refer to the Submit a Request page on the OISS website.
