Director
Esther Gunel, OISS Director, is responsible for all administrative operations and functions of OISS. She also acts as the F and J SEVIS primary contact, PDSO and RO for the University. Esther began working in the OISS in February, 2002. Her favorite part of the job is seeing problems solved and supporting students and scholars to achieve their educational and career goals.
Her advice to international students is: “Take advantage of any learning opportunities to enhance personal skills and knowledge, follow instructions and pay attention to details, work hard, and do not give up.”

Senior International Student Advisor and Technology Specialist
Jeremiah Munce is responsible for student advising as well as reporting and technology maintenance within OISS. As a DSO and ARO he advises students and scholars on matters related to the F-1 and J-1 visa categories. He has previously worked at the University of Michigan in their international office and has been working in the field of international education in numerous roles for over 8 years. Jeremiah loves working with international students as well as creating new processes that improve the overall experience for students relying on OISS.
