About Us

The Office for International Students and Scholars is responsible for reporting and ensuring compliance with the federal regulations regarding the F and J visa categories for both students and scholars at Eastern Michigan University. OISS advisors support students in navigating complex immigration cases.

OISS supports international students from over 80 countries with a diverse selection of majors. OISS offers SEVIS Check-In/Orientation for new students, monthly employment seminars along with exciting cultural social and programming events for students throughout the school year.
