Located about 10 minutes away from Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor is a lively vibrant city that offers lots of possibilities for dining, entertainment, art and culture. Ann Arbor is also home to the main campus of the University of Michigan, which also helps add to the welcoming atmosphere. There are many ways to get to Ann Arbor. Driving to Ann Arbor is possible by way of Washtenaw Avenue or I-94 going west. You are also able to take the AAATA (Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority) bus system, with a bus transit center located approximately at the center of the city's downtown. Several routes coming from Ypsilanti go into Ann Arbor, including route 3, 4, and 5. Route maps and schedules are available on their website. You can also hire a taxi throughout Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. There are many taxi companies within the area which you can find by internet or phonebook.

Fun never ends in Ann Arbor! There are places everyone must visit when in town. Whether you ride the bus, your bike, or have a car, simply riding around the city of Ann Arbor can be lots of fun. Here are only a few great places you'll find amusing.

  • Main Street is known as one of America's great places. It is a street filled with great prestigious restaurants, bars, night clubs, and summer festivals.
  • State Street is commonly known as Ann Arbor's entertainment avenue. The street is filled with many people, stores, and restaurants, and the Michigan Theater.
  • South University Avenue houses the University of Michigan's Museum of Art and many great ethnic restaurants.
  • Briarwood Mall is a great place to hang around even if you are not shopping.
  • The Rave Motion Pictures and the Quality 16 are two great movie theaters found in Ann Arbor.
  • Hill Auditorium and Power Center provide variety of art and music entertainment.
