Internship Program

The Eastern Michigan University Police Department Internship Program is open to EMU students that are either in their Junior or Senior year. Applicants should be majoring or minoring in Criminal Justice. Other Public Safety degrees will be considered as well.

Applicants should be willing to enroll in an internship class at EMU if selected as an intern for the Police Department. Interns will be paid for 150 hours of service, but can possibly work more hours, if scheduling allows.


  • Fall semester is August 1
  • Winter semester is December 1
  • Spring/summer is April 1
