Students should contact their MPA advisor to set up or update their Program of Study (a required document that lists the courses a student must take to complete their degree) and discuss course sequence and selection.

Course Offerings

All graduate courses in the Political Science Department are currently offered as part of the MPA program or the graduate certificate program. View what PLSC courses are expected to be offered in upcoming semesters.

View courses offered in other departments that are open to students in either the MPA program or the graduate certificate programs and their expected offerings. To contact advisors in these departments, please see the contact information for interdisciplinary courses of interest. Some courses in other departments require departmental permission. Students should email their advisor for permission to register for courses. Please consult with your advisor to confirm your electives fit within your Program of Study.

Graduation

Candidates for a degree and/or certificate must submit a formal application for graduation in the final semester in which you will complete all requirements before a degree/certificate can be awarded. Applications are accepted online via My.Emich Student Services. If you are applying for more than one degree and/or certificate, you must complete an application for each. The application fee of $110 for each degree and/or certificate and will be applied to your student account. Graduation applications are due no later than the last day of the semester in which you will finish all of your degree requirements. No applications will be accepted after the last day of the semester. For more information, visit the Office of Records and Registration graduation webpage.
