The Psychology Department would like to welcome our new faculty member, Dr. Jamie Lawler.


Assistant Professor

Dr. Jamie Lawler is a clinical and developmental psychologist with expertise in early adversity, parenting, and self-regulation. Her research focuses on the impact of early life stress on the development of physiological, behavioral, and emotional regulation, on the connection between self-regulation and mental and physical health, and on interventions to promote adaptive regulation in high-risk children. She earned her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychopathology and Clinical Science from the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Emory University. Most recently, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Child Clinical Psychology at the University of Michigan.
