Open Psychology Faculty Positions


1. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS OR EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF BEHAVIOR

Tenure-track position beginning Fall 2015 for PhD in Psychology with specialization in Applied or Experimental Behavior Analysis or related field; evidence of strong ongoing research program; evidence of ability to teach a range of relevant courses to a diverse student body. The successful candidate will be expected to join seven behaviorally oriented faculty members to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in behavior analysis and other topics consistent with expertise; supervise thesis and dissertation research; participate in department- and university-level committees; establish a research program in behavior analysis with student participation at all levels; and, if consistent with credentials, supervise clinical students toward certification and licensure. Faculty have access to research assistance and institutional support.

The Psychology Department has MS programs in Clinical, Clinical-Behavioral, and Experimental psychology, an APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program, and approximately 1000 undergraduate majors. The department includes an onsite clinic for family and individual therapy and an active experimental analysis of behavior laboratory. The position includes the opportunity to significantly influence a multidisciplinary autism treatment facility in collaboration with other departments. EMU sponsors the Behavior Analysis Association of Michigan annual conference, featuring world-class speakers. 2. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, QUANTITATIVE/METHODOLOGIST POSITION

Tenure-track position available Fall 2014 for Ph.D. in psychology (research area open) to teach graduate and undergraduate courses covering a broad range of contemporary data analytic techniques including (but not limited to) SEM, MLM/HLM, multivariate procedures, longitudinal analyses, dyadic analyses, and potentially psychometrics (e.g. item response theory). The applicant must have: an empirical research program, experience facilitating undergraduate Honors theses, masters' theses, and doctoral dissertations, success with external funding, and experience advising faculty and students on statistical procedures and research design. As part of this position, the new faculty member will be expected to consult with faculty and students on issues of research design and statistical analyses including the ability to create detailed consultation reports. The applicant must also be fluent in the use of SPSS, AMOS, Mplus, and R.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant and productive department that serves over 1000 undergraduate majors, as well as students in master's programs in Experimental Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and students in an APA-accredited PhD program in Clinical Psychology.
