Jamaal is from Brantford, Ontario, Canada and is a fully bilingual international student. Jamaal is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan obtaining his degree in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. He was recently accepted into the Eastern Michigan University Master of Sports Medicine program and he is eager to start a position with the fitness & wellness program to compliment his studies and enhance his educational experience. At Wayne State University, he worked in the WSU sports medicine department as a sports medicine intern and student athletic trainer for two years from 2020-2022. Additionally, briefly working in the Wayne State exercise science lab. Jamaal is also a certified physical therapy assistant, specializing in athletic & recreational activity rehabilitation. Jamaal is passionate about overall healthy wellbeing and is excited to instill his love for fitness into others.
Jamaal's interests include rock climbing, comic book collecting, playing flag football and volunteering at children's hospitals. Jamaal grew up as a multi-sport athlete playing football, track & field and rugby.
