Final Financial Report

A final report is required for most, if not all, federal and state funded sponsored projects. The report usually includes the budget approved by the sponsor and all expenditures to date, as well as any remaining funds and required cost share. The Post-Award Manager will work with the PI/PD to make sure all final expenses are charged to the grant fund and work with Grants Accounting to make sure the expenses are accurate and appropriate prior to submitting the report to the Sponsor. The report is prepared by Grants Accounting and is usually sent to the PI/PD for final review before submission. The report is usually certified by the Grant Accounting Manager.
