School, Society and Violence Master’s program

B.S. Journalism; Media Design Production & Technology Central Michigan University 2009

During his undergrad, Danny presented hundreds of prevention education programs across the country, and had thousands of advocacy hours in his four years with Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates of Central Michigan University. Continuing his work in the community, Danny provided sexual assault services and prevention education in three counties in Southwestern Michigan. Then moving on, he became a Specialty Prevention Contractor with the Department of the Navy Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (DoN SAPRO). In total he presented training to over 40,000 DON staff and recruits in eight countries on sexual assault prevention and prosocial intervention strategies.

When not talking about violence, Danny enjoys being friends with small animals, seeming absurd with his list of interests, raging against ‘the system!’ Then, watching Bette Davis movies, pretending to be Norma Desmond (who was not played by Bette Davis) and quoting either The Lord of the Rings or the Simpsons to his human friends, who are tired of hearing about sexual assault and The Lord of the Rings.
