Minors in Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology offers several minors that will be of interest to students in a variety of programs at Eastern Michigan University.

    The Sociology minor requires 21 hours, including 3 hours of required courses and a minimum of 12 credit hours of “SOCL” coursework, of which nine hours must be at the 300-level or above.

  • Anthropology Minor (24 hours) Expand dropdown

    The Anthropology minor requires 24 hours, including 15 hours of required courses, 3 hours of a Culture Area course, and six additional credit hours of anthropology coursework at the 300-level or above.

    The Health and Illness Studies Interdisciplinary minor requires 21 hours, including 15 hours of required courses and 3 hours of elective courses chosen from sociology (SOCL), anthropology (ANTH), or criminology (CRM), at the 300-level or above.
