The Technology Transfer Office at Eastern Michigan University is responsible for the dissemination of University developed technology into the marketplace for the benefit of society. This includes invention disclosures, assessment, intellectual property protection, and commercialization.

Additionally, the Office provides business engagement services such as but not limited to:

  • Student/Faculty Projects
  • Licensing University owned intellectual property
  • Identifying and facilitating collaboration opportunities between industry and University researchers
  • Negotiating non-disclosure agreements
  • Negotiating sponsored research agreements

Small Company Innovation Program (SCIP)     

MCRN

The Michigan Corporate Relations Network (MCRN) Small Company Innovation Program (SCIP)/Technology and Commercialization Assistance (TCA) provides matching funds up to $40,000 to Michigan small businesses to help cover the cost of conducting a research project at any state of Michigan public university.  Contact Steve Pernecky at [email protected] to learn more.
