International students are required to have insurance while studying at EMU. Currently, you are able to waive our policy if an acceptable/comparable insurance plan is found.
Note: The Washtenaw County Health Plan does NOT meet the waiver requirements.
What do I need to do to be on the EMU
As long as you are enrolled and a waiver was not completed/accepted you will automatically be billed for Student Insurance by semester on or about the first day of class.
Currently we can file insurance forms for the Student Health Insurance policy as offered by EMU only.
If you receive services at Snow Health Center you will be responsible for all charges when checking-out. We give an itemized receipt for services rendered at Snow at check out that may be sent in to your insurance company for reimbursement.
A brochure which describes the plan in detail is available at Snow Health Center. For further information, contact our Insurance Specialist Monday – Thursday at 734.487.3048 or email us at email@example.com.
