They have helped me get established as a student veteran after my transition from active duty to civilian. They anticipated my needs even when I was overseas awaiting to come back to Michigan."

Gave me a ton of advice to balance work, school, and personal life, which has made it possible to work 20 hours per week with 12-15 credit hours and have a personal life.”

Once enrolled in the program you will meet with the Director of Veteran Student Support Services at least once per semester to review academic progress ensuring you are on the path to academic success.

Financial Aid

Student veterans will be assisted with the application and appeal process for FAFSA, federal financial aid.

  • FAFSA can amount to over $6,000.00 annually that the veteran can use towards education and living expenses.
  • 100% of the students in the VSSS program are aware of the Pell grant, and 80% of students in this group are receiving financial aid.
