Featured Program: Biology
Biology students learn about the science of life, from molecules to ecosystems, through in-depth explorations of the biological sciences via classroom, field and research lab experiences. The major includes concentrations on cellular and molecular biology; ecology, organismal diversity and evolution; microbiology; physiology; and general biology. Opportunities for in-depth learning include summer courses at the Fish Lake Environmental Education Center, off-campus and international courses (Florida, Bahamas and Ecuador), research experiences with faculty mentors, and more. The program prepares students for careers in the life sciences, conservation, education, and in the medical and veterinary fields.
