The Nuts and Bolts of Writing a Women in Philanthropy (WIP) Grant

Do you have an idea as to how you might enhance your own EMU experiences, while at the same time benefiting the larger EMU community? Or, are you part of an organization that has a specific need at EMU or where EMU resources might be valuable to the larger community? WIP offers grants (up to $5000) to enhance learning opportunities, create collaborative efforts, foster creativity and innovation, and improve communication among diverse groups within the EMU community.

In the overview workshop, we will briefly discuss the general principles of grant writing and then focus on your creating draft answers to the questions asked in the grant application. Time at the end of the workshop will be devoted to individual assistance. The peer feedback workshop is designed to revise your draft in an interactive format with your colleagues. If you have not written a WIP grant, or you have been unsuccessful in obtaining a grant, these workshops are for you. STUDENTS, STAFF, and FACULTY are all urged to attend.
