Counseling

The Counseling Clinic operates during Fall, Winter, Spring, & Summer semesters. 

Appointments are available Monday through Thursday.  Contact the Clinic Office at 734.487.4410 to schedule an appointment. 

The Counseling Clinic offers services for Individual, Couples, Family & Child counseling.

Counseling services are provided by graduate students under direct supervision of faculty and staff.  The clinic runs in conjunction with coursework to enable students to obtain practicum experience. 

Our counselors work with children, adolescents, and adults from Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor and surrounding communities; EMU students, faculty, and staff.

Reading

The Reading Clinic operates in the Winter semesters, one evening per week and Spring or Summer semesters, 2 sessions per week. 

Appointments can be made by calling the Clinic Office at 734.487.4410.

The Reading Clinic provides assessment and instructional services for children struggling with literacy.

The services in the Reading Clinic are provided by graduate students under direct supervision of faculty and staff.  The clinic runs in conjunction with coursework to enable students to obtain practicum experience

Our clientele comes from the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor areas including Lincoln, Willow Run, and adjoining schools

Speech/Hearing

The Speech & Hearing Clinic operates during Fall, Winter, Spring, & Summer semesters.

Speech and Language therapy services are provided by graduate students under direct supervision of faculty and staff.  The clinic runs in conjunction with coursework to enable students to obtain practicum experience Audiology services provided by the clinical audiologist, often with student clinicians.

Our clientele comes from the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor areas and surrounding communities.

Clinic Services for future educators:

Free Speech hearing and screenings testing for prospective student teachers offered:

Tests are conducted the first five days of Fall, Winter, & Spring semesters at the COE Clinical Suite, Porter Building, Suite 135. Tests are given from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  Testing takes 5-10 minutes. There is no charge for these tests.
