Program Admission

For full admission, applicants must have:

  1. Earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution.
  2. A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.0 in the last half of the undergraduate program.

MBA Admissions Requirements

Applicants must also meet the following program requirements. Requirements may be more stringent than the minimum graduate school requirements.

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  • A well-written Personal Statement indicating background and purpose for applying.
  • An up-to-date resume.
  • GRE/GMAT requirement: ​​The GRE/GMAT requirement is waived for Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 applicants (applicants must satisfy all other requirements). Therefore, emailing the Graduate Program’s Office requesting a waiver is unnecessary for those seeking admission for Fall 2023 or Winter 2024. A score of 450 or greater in the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), with at least 20 in the verbal section and 24 in the quantitative, OR an overall score of 297 or greater in the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), including scores of at least 143 in verbal reasoning and 140 in quantitative reasoning. The GMAT/GRE requirement will be waived by email request to the Graduate Programs Office ([email protected]) for applicants who meet any one of the following five criteria:
    1. Have a master’s or terminal degree from a university with an AACSB-accredited college/business school (the MBA curriculum committee must approve degrees from other institutions).
    2. Have at least five years of managerial experience as determined by the MBA curriculum committee (e.g., experience managing both people and budget).
    3. Have earned a cumulative 3.5 GPA from all six courses in the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration and/or approved equivalent courses (maximum of two).
    4. Have earned any other bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
    5. Have earned an AACSB-accredited Bachelor of Business Administration degree (minimum 60 credits)., with a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and an average GPA of 3.0 in statistics, accounting, and finance courses.
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must submit a TOEFL score of 80 overall, with at least 20 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking sections, or an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.5 in reading, listening, and speaking; and at least 6.0 in writing.
