Veteran Student Support Services and Resources

EMU offers superior service and support through its Veteran Student Support Services program located in 202 Pierce Hall in the Lt. Col. Charles S. Kettles Military and Veteran Services Resource Center.

Admissions/Benefits/Enrollment

Our program provides dedicated academic and personal support, tailored to address the unique needs of veterans who are in pursuit of a bachelor's degree from EMU.

Tutoring

Once enrolled in the program you will meet with the Director of Veteran Student Support Services at least once per semester to review academic progress ensuring you are on the path to academic success.

Financial Aid

Student veterans will be assisted with the application and appeal process for FAFSA, federal financial aid.

  • FAFSA can amount to over $6,000.00 annually that the veteran can use towards education and living expenses.
  • 100% of the students in the VSSS program are aware of the Pell grant, and 80% of students in this group are receiving financial aid.

Grad School

You will be given a student coach who will help connect you with advisors in your field of study and introduce you to campus activities. You will also meet with resident VA representatives and counselors who can help you navigate through the VA Healthcare system and much more.

We will guide you through the resume building process and help you translate your military career into marketable skills you can utilize in your civilian career.
