Program Education Objectives
Program Educational Objectives (PEO) describe the attributes that we aspire for our graduates to possess three to five years after graduation. The BS degree program in Electronic Engineering Technology will prepare graduates with the technical and managerial skills necessary to enter careers in analysis, applied design, development, implementation, or oversight of advanced mechanical systems and processes.
Program Education Outcomes
The educational objectives of the Electronics Engineering Technology program are:
- PEO1. PEO 1 Graduates of the EET program will exhibit viable critical thinking aptitude identified with electronic engineering technology problems
- PEO2. Graduates of the EET program will procure the expertise and information to effectively gain employment.
- PEO3. Graduates of the EET program will have the skills to communicate effectively, participate in teams, and exhibit ethical behavior.
- PEO4. Graduates of the EET program will learn to adjust to the changes in industry.
The EET Student Outcomes (SO) capture the desired attributes that the EET program at the School of Engineering Technology aspires to impart to its students through the curriculum and academic experience.
- An ability to select and apply the knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools of their disciplines to broadly-defined engineering technology activities.
- An ability to select and apply a knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to engineering technology problems that require the application of principles and applied procedures or methodologies.
- An ability to conduct standard tests and measurements; to conduct, analyze, and experimental results to improve processes.
- An ability to design systems, components, or processes for broadly-defined engineering technology problems appropriate to program educational objectives.
- An ability to function effectively as a member or leader on a technical team.
- An ability to identify, analyze, and solve broadly-defined engineering technology problems.
- An ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in both technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
