The Federal government authorized three separate stimulus packages to assist its citizens, public institutions, and private companies with the economic hardships caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Eastern Michigan University is maintaining this website to provide information to the public on how funding awarded to EMU is being deployed.
Under each stimulus act, EMU has received Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF), and in each case, some funds were directed by the U.S. Department of Education for direct aid to students and some funds for institutional relief. Because the amounts and rules associated with each funding stream vary slightly, the University is providing a page for each stimulus appropriation and the awards it has received.
