TRIO Eligibility
Students qualify for the EMU TRIO SSS Program by meeting one of the following criteria outlined by the Department of Education:
1. First-Generation Status (the student's parent or guardian has not completed a four-year bachelor's degree).
2. Low Income Status (the family's taxable income for the prior year is below 150% of the federal poverty level).
3. Documented Disability (such as an IEP in K-12 or accommodations from the EMU DRC for a learning, physical, or mental disability).
NOTE: Our program is currently accepting applications on a rolling basis.
