  • Names: Jeff Kilman '11 and Courtney (DeVille) Kilman '12
  • Relationship Status: Married
  • Anniversary Date: December 12, 2015

Do you have children? How many?

None

How did you meet?

We met at Theos for Monday night Greek night. Jeff was there with his Lambda Chi brothers and I was there with my Tri Sigma sisters for a birthday.

Where was your first date?

Our first date was at Carl's Cabin for the Lambda Chi Alpha Semi Formal.

Any cute memories you have together at Eastern?

My favorite memory is when I was living in my sorority house. Before we started dating, Jeff brought me flowers and a super cheesy card. To this day he doesn't believe that was the card he gave me.

If married/engaged, how did they propose? If it was on campus, where?

Seven years later, Jeff proposed outside the door of our Texas apartment. We were leaving to go to dinner and as I opened the door he wrote on the ground in chalk "Courtney, will you marry me?" Since we are not on in Michigan, we decided to take our engagement photos on campus.

What are the two of you doing now?

Jeff has been working for Kiewit Construction since January 2012. I am currently a 3rd grade teacher in Keller ISD. We have lived in New Orleans, Washington DC, and we are currently in Keller, Texas.

Any romantic advice you would give to students:

No matter how hard things may get, never give up on each other.
