Do you have children? How many?
Two.
How did you meet?
We met at a Veteran's party in the fall of 1964. I was a freshman and Kathleen was a senior. I had been four years in the US Navy.
Where was your first date?
Probably in the spring of 1965 at coffee in the Student Union.
Any cute memories you have together at Eastern?
Kathy came for a homecoming and I bought a mum from a sorority girl who I had been dating besides Kathy. It was my last date with the sorority girl! Kathy and I had a long distance relationship that evolved over time.
What are the two of you doing now?
We are both retired since 2002.
Anything else you would like to share?
After graduating we spent six weeks camping in Europe and returned to Michigan for a short time before moving to San Diego, Calif. In January, 1971, I took a position in Spokane, Wash. and this became our permanent home. We resided in Ireland in the 1980s and in England in the 1990s as I pursued my career in International Marketing. I thank the professors and educators at EMU for preparing me for an international career.
