About this Program

Your undergraduate degree helped get you where you are today. Preparation for a management-level position is the obvious next step. Eastern Michigan University has designed a program that will help you become as proficient at managing technology as you are at utilizing it.

The engineering management degree offers you the reputation and resources of Eastern Michigan University's School of Engineering Technology – located in the heart of one of the world's major technology and research corridors. EMU's close ties with business and industry leaders led to the development of a program that is as current as it is professional.

The Master of Science in Engineering Management degree was developed based on research about what is most important to know about Engineering Management for today’s work environment, including the bodies of knowledge used for professional certification in engineering management, project management, manufacturing engineering, lean systems and quality management.

The engineering management graduate degree also offers CPT (curriculum practical training) and OPT (optional practical training) to arm you with the real world skills you need to succeed.

Eastern Michigan University is an Approved Knowledge Provider (AKP) for the Engineering Management Certification Institute (EMCI)

Formatted for Your Schedule

The program is tailored to the needs of busy professionals by offering the "anywhere, anytime" convenience of an online education. Face-to-face classes are also offered on EMU’s main campus.

Online

Out-of-state and international students can take online courses at in-state tuition rates. This perk will save you thousands of dollars over the course of your education.

You will receive a high-quality education and expand your horizons world-wide by learning online. Classes are taught by EMU faculty and part time lecturer professionals from the industry who will be available to you throughout your classes. You will participate in group discussions and assignments with fellow students from the U.S.A. and across the world—and learn from them as well. Many of our students are currently working as engineers or engineering managers in some of the world’s largest and most successful companies. We also have military personnel in our program, from multiple branches of the U.S.A. armed services. Many of these service men and women take our online classes while serving at bases or on ships overseas.
