Additional Information

Originally from Swartz Creek, MI, Lacey Opdycke attended school at Swartz Creek High School and graduated in 2014. She moved to Ypsilanti, MI to attend college at Eastern Michigan University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in political science in 2018. Upon the completion of her master's thesis on the Women Airforce Service Pilots of the Second World War, she graduated once more from Eastern Michigan University with a master's in history and a graduate certificate in cultural museum studies. Lacey specializes in women's military history, twentieth century military history, and social history. 

Currently, Lacey serves as the Senior Secretary for the Military Science and Leadership Department. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in Second World War living history reenactments, reading, and attending concerts.
