Goals and objectives
Following is a list of program-level Student Learning Outcomes, including measurement, input data and outcome updated for 2013-2014 school year.
1st Teaching & Learning Goal:
To fully prepare management-oriented professionals for the construction industry through effective teaching/learning.
OBJECTIVE 1: Improve recruitment efforts to increase the percentage of minorities and women in our Program.
Measurement: CM faculty to attend one or two recruiting events annually.
Input Data: Recruiting events attended; Young Detroit Builders and/or similar setups visiting our program/lab; and targeted outreach.
Outcome: Increased diverse student body.
OBJECTIVE 2: Involvement of faculty and/or students in community service projects.
Measurement: Participation in one community project annually.
Input Data: Eastern Constructor projects.
Outcome: Enhanced student-community relations, community service, and voluntarism.
OBJECTIVE 3: Increase faculty participation in CM Program development and assessment, as well as service to the profession at least once per year.
Measurement: CM faculty participation in CM Program development and assessment, as well as service to the profession at least once per year.
Input Data: CM faculty meetings; CM faculty Program assessment meetings; CM faculty participation/service in professional associations.
Outcome: Continuous faculty input to CM Program improvement, and contribution to professional service needs.
