About Us

Established in 2020, the Robert Thomson Center for the Advancement of Neurobehavioral Health (RT-CANH) mission is to promote research, training, and clinical service delivery related to neurobehavioral health across the lifespan.

In 2021-2022, RT-CANH faculty members published 16 peer-reviewed articles and received 1.9 million dollars in grant funding across multiple interdisciplinary projects that emphasize the development of new assessments and interventions for various age groups and clinical populations, as well as the expansion of behavioral health services to underserved populations.

Beyond faculty effort, over 40 graduate students across multiple departments at EMU are involved in the research and clinical training provided by the various projects within RT-CANH.

Students attend various meetings and labs across the week. Students are also actively using the space to conduct their own research projects (e.g. thesis and dissertations) given the state-of-the-art equipment.
