EMU Community Behavioral Health Clinic: Services

Interested persons are encouraged to call the clinic to request or inquire about services. A telephone interview will be conducted to determine whether a caller’s needs match services the clinic may be able to provide. Please be advised that the EMU Community Behavioral Health Clinic is a training clinic. As such, we are not prepared to respond to the needs of all callers.

We cannot typically meet the needs of individuals who are in immediate need of treatment or assessment. In addition, services are not necessarily offered to callers in the order that requests are received. Those seeking services are assigned to student therapists based on a number of factors that relate to training needs and the availability of appropriate clinical supervision.

It is not possible for us to provide estimates of when any particular individual may be scheduled for an initial session. We will, however, try to provide referral information for other agencies or mental health practitioners that might be able to assist with immediate needs.

Note that the Clinic is not able to provide medications or any form of medical care.

To ask questions or complete the initial phone interview, call 734.487.4987

Services available include individual and group psychotherapy.  We also offer comprehensive cognitive and neuropsychological assessments.

Note for 2019-2020: Our ability to conduct cognitive and neuropsychological evaluations continues to be very limited, with current requests for services exceeding our capacity in this regard.  Availability for psychotherapy services is not impacted to the same extent.
