
Advising
Once you have declared a major, you are strongly encouraged to schedule an advising appointment in your home department.
General Education Requirements
- If you have not declared a major, and want to make sure that you are fulfilling General Education requirements effectively, please seek advising through the University Advising and Career Development Center in 200 McKenny Hall.
- If you have declared a major in the College of Arts & Sciences and want to make sure that you are fulfilling General Education requirements effectively, please seek advising:
- through the home department office of your declared major if you are a transfer student or if you entered as a first-time student (freshman) in 2008 or earlier.
- through the University Advising and Career Development Center if you entered as a first-time student (freshman) in Fall of 2009 or after.
- If you have questions about specific courses or requirements for General Education (i.e. would like to ask about a course substitution or other exception) whether or not you have declared a major yet, please seek advising through the home department office that offers the course(s) for which you would like to request a substitution or exception.
