If you want to make sure that you are fulfilling General Education requirements effectively, please seek advising from the Francine Parker Advising Center in 120 Student Center (adjacent to the Dining Commons and Game Room). Read more about Parker Advising services.
If you would like to ask about a course substitution or other exception, please seek advising through the home department office that offers the course(s) for which you would like to request a substitution or exception.
Once you have declared a major, you also have support from faculty advisors in the department that houses your major. Once you have declared a major, you are strongly encouraged to schedule an advising appointment with your home department. For assistance to meet your faculty advisor, call or email your department.
If you have declared a major in the College of Arts & Sciences and want to make sure that you are accurately fulfilling your major or General Education requirements, please seek advising:
- through the home department office of your declared major if you are a transfer student or if you entered as a first-time student (freshman) in 2008 or earlier.
- through the Francine Parker Advising Center if you entered as a first-time student (freshman) in Fall of 2009 or after.
