EMU Changing the Cycle is looking for volunteers (Ambassadors) and interns who are ready to innovate, expand their skills, and achieve personal and professional growth on a flexible schedule that meets their needs!  This is a great opportunity for students who need to get volunteer hours or internship experience for a program or organization that they are part of.     Ambassador tasks can include:

    • Checking and refilling period product dispensers
    • Designing creative advertising campaigns to spread awareness about EMU Changing the Cycle, the free period products on campus, and the issue of Period Poverty
    • Holding fundraisers to cover the costs of additional dispensers
    • Attending events and passing out information to raise awareness about the new dispensers on campus
    • Presenting to classes and groups about period poverty
  • Undergraduate Internships Expand dropdown

    Undergraduate-Level Interns may participate in:

    • Planning and supporting creative social media campaigns to raise awareness about EMU Changing the Cycle and period poverty
    • Attending events to raise awareness about EMU Changing the Cycle and promote the program across campus
    • Assisting in presenting to classes, groups, and organizations on campus
    • Creating fundraising events and seeking grant opportunities
    • Checking and refilling period product dispensers
    • Identifying needs and coming up with creative solutions to address them
  • Graduate Internships Expand dropdown

    Graduate-Level Interns may participate in:

    • Planning and executing programming and events to raise awareness about EMU Changing the Cycle and period poverty on college campuses
    • Presenting to classes, groups, and organizations about EMU Changing the Cycle’s mission and the issue of period poverty
    • Networking with other groups on campus and in the community to coordinate financial support for EMU Changing the Cycle
    • Collecting and analyzing data about the impact of EMU Changing the Cycle’s efforts on campus and product usage
    • Supervising volunteers for events and presentations
    • Applying for grants to ensure short-term and long-term funding
