Community Impact Fair
On January 25th, 2024 The Workshop hosted its first Community Impact Fair. This event was done in hopes of helping Eastern Michigan University College of Education community members learn about opportunities for involvement in the Washtenaw area.
The event proved helpful for our partners in terms of cross-agency awareness and in developing interest in the agencies’ work for students and faculty. Given the success of this event, The Workshop set the goal of hosting one of these events each semester in the 24-25 school year as well.
Featured community organizations at this event were as follows:
Students were able to learn more about community resources and opportunities for involvement in the Washtenaw area
Many faculty members attended the Community Impact Fair to learn about volunteer experiences that they can suggest to their students and advisees
Many of the organizations shared details of their work in hopes of students signing up for further engagement
