The Workshop invited community partners and their associates to join together for a Block Party with the intent of getting to know one another, discussing needs which are both organization-specific and community-focused, and collectively dreaming/planning for the future together.

Community partners were invited to EMU's campus to solicit student volunteers and/or to increase awareness of their programming. Partners represented at this event included: Jewish Family Services, Work & Play Special Needs Resource Center, Washtenaw Area Council for Children, Garret's Space, and others.

This panel discussion highlighted the work being done to eliminate poverty and promote dignity for children and families in Washtenaw County. This event was The Workshop's first public event and was done in recognition of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

The Fall Incubator invited community partners to join together to discuss organization-specific and community-focused needs to curate a list of action items for the group to focus on.

This inaugural incubator event hosted representatives from 19 community partner organizations to engage in a day of thinking, art, and collective visioning.

The in-person visioning lunch brought together 24 members of the university community to develop the vision for the emerging project and begin to collectively brainstorm for hosting our first event with community partners.
