With deep sadness, the Department of Computer Science announces the passing in November 2022 of lecturer Dr. George Cowan. Dr. Cowan taught for the department for many years. He was a cheerful, friendly presence, was well liked by his students and colleagues, and contributed immensely to the growth of the department. His interests and teaching experiences covered a variety of courses from 100-level freshman to 600-level graduate courses. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
