Graduate School Admissions Requirements

For admission to Eastern Michigan's Graduate School, applicants must have:

  1. Earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution.
  2. A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.0 in the last half of the undergraduate program.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; students may start the program in the Summer, Fall or Winter.

MBA Admissions Requirements

Applicants must also meet the following admissions requirements for our MBA programs. Requirements may be more stringent than the minimum graduate school requirements.

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.75.
  • A well-written Personal Statement indicating background and purpose for applying (preferred but not required)
  • An up-to-date resume.
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must submit a TOEFL score of 80 overall, with at least 20 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking sections, or an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.5 in reading, listening, and speaking; and at least 6.0 in writing.

MBA Application Process

Your MBA application will be submitted using BusinessCAS, a Centralized Application Service (CAS) hosted by Liaison.

  1. Apply using BusinessCAS
  2. Submit a personal essay (preferred but not required)
  3. Send your transcript(s) from undergrad
  4. Submit TOEFL scores (if applicable)
