The BBA in Finance degree can be completed entirely online or in-person. To learn more about these two program delivery options, see the tabs below.

The coursework is delivered synchronously or asynchronously, depending on the program. As part of their academic obligations, students may be required to participate in in-person clinical or internships near their residences or attend an on-campus program on one or two weekends during a semester. NOTE: It is not permissible for international students studying in the United States to pursue a fully online program.
The coursework for this program is offered primarily face-to-face/in-person. However, coursework may also be offered in hybrid, hyflex, and online (synchronous or asynchronous) modes. In some cases, a course may only be offered entirely online.

The College of Business offers the graduate portion of the program Hyflex in a synchronous format using current technology. Thus, online students can access the same course media, materials, discussions, etc., as if in the classroom. In addition, the faculty records class meetings enabling students to revisit lectures as often as necessary while enrolled in each course.

The admission process is the first step to earning your Finance BBA program online. Be sure to review all admission requirements, what additional materials you should send and where you need to send them.

Admission Requirements:

  • Apply to Eastern Michigan University.
  • Meet the minimum requirement of 2.0 cumulative High School Grade Point Average or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for consideration.

    • EMU uses a test-optional admissions model for first-year admission.
      • A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or higher will not be required to submit a standardized test score.
      • A student with a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5-2.74 will be considered test-optional. Upon review of application and academic history, standardized test scores may be requested if required.
      • At student with a cumulative high school of 2.49 and below will be required to submit a test score.
    • Official transcripts are required for all admission consideration.

    Conditional admission may be available to applicants not meeting minimum admission requirements.
