Swoop’s Pantry is celebrating its 10th anniversary on September 4th, 2025 from 3 to 5pm! Since opening its doors, the Pantry has been visited more than 63,000 times and distributed over 930,000 pounds of groceries.
Swoop's is located in Pierce Hall on the first floor in the John and Angie Sabo Swoop's Food Pantry Room at Eastern Michigan University. Our mission is to provide the Eastern Michigan University (EMU) community with both food and non-food item assistance along with additional resources to positively impact well-being and college success. Who can use Swoop's Food Pantry?
Any current EMU student, faculty, staff, or lecturer with a valid Emich ID can use the pantry during open hours once they have filled out our intake form. Shopping at Swoop's can help students stretch their budget and spend more time focused on their coursework and enjoying their college experience!
