Donation Guidelines
How to Donate
Please wash the clothes prior to donating as Swoop’s does not have access to a washing machine. Clothing donations can either be dropped off directly at the pantry or in the donation bins at the first-floor entryway of Pierce Hall.
What Does Swoop’s Thrift Accept?
- Button-up shirts, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and long-sleeve shirts
- Dresses, blouses, skirts, pants, and shorts
- Outerwear, hats, scarves, and gloves
- Bras, unused/packaged underwear, socks, and shoes
- Accessories, belts, ties, and jewelry
- Bedding, blankets, towels
- Baby/Kids supplies and clothing
- Backpacks, purses, duffle bags, drawstring bags, and lunch boxes
- Books, board games, TVs, small appliances, entertainment systems (DVDs, DVD/Blueray players, records, game systems, video games, speakers)
- Household items such as dishes, silverware, glassware, small appliances, pots and pans, etc.
- EMU Undergraduate and Graduate gowns/hoods
What Swoop’s Thrift Does Not Accept?
- Textbooks
- Used underwear
- Stained clothing
- Tattered/deteriorating clothing
- Worn-out shoes
- Broken items
