Transfer Scholarships

Eastern Michigan University awards a variety of scholarships to incoming transfer students. Merit based Transfer Scholarships require a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and 30 transferable credits from a regionally accredited institution at time of application completion. All Transfer Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis based upon factors such as GPA, number of transferable credits, and date of application file completion.

 

Non Michigan Resident Awards:

National Scholars Program
Type: Automatic Consideration
Amount: $15,600 (2013-2014 difference between resident and non-resident tuition)
Requirements:

  • 2.75 cumulative GPA and at least 30 transferable college credits from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Non-resident admission status
  • Domestic and international students

Note: Award pays the difference between out-of-state and in-state tuition for qualified students. Students from Michigan and Ohio pay in-state tuition and are not eligible for this award.

Come Home to Eastern - Come Home to Michigan Award
Type: Automatic Consideration
Amount: $15,600 (2013-2014 difference between resident and non-resident tuition)

Requirement: Child of EMU alumnus (including step or adopted children) and resident of a state outside of Michigan and Ohio.
Note: Additional verification is needed to determine award eligibility.
