A new Social Security card needs to be submitted.

2013 FICA tax base is $113,700.00 paid at the rate of 6.2% with a maximum amount withheld of $7,049.40. The Medicare (Medical Hospital Insurance) FICA tax is based on all earning paid at the rate of 1.45%. There is not a limit on the Medicare FICA gross.
Once the form reached the Payroll Office, the process takes two to three pays before it is put into effect.
8233's must be completed and turned into payroll every year by February 15th.
Faculty and Staff can deposit into two bank accounts. However if you have a account at the EMU Credit Union, you can have a payroll deduction set up and have money deposited into that account as well.
Student payroll will be processed through the Eagle Onecard starting February 25, 2010.
- Log in to EMUEagleOne.com.
- From the Main menu, select "Payroll", then "Payroll Preferences."
- Select your payroll option and click the "Update Preference" button.
- If no preference is chosen it will automatically go into your HigherOne account.
All honorarium payments are paid semi-monthly on the 15th or the 31st of the month once form has been received in the Payroll office.
