This policy document outlines the available support, guidelines, and procedures for the Alumni Chapter Grant Program.
Services + Benefits
Communications Expand dropdownRegular communication with chapter members is essential. Chapters should utilize various channels such as meetings, conference calls, emails, newsletters, and social media to keep members informed and engaged.
Financial Support
Financial support of up to $1,000 annually is available for chapter events and activities. Requests must be made through the Chapter Grant Request, submitted at least 30 days before the event. The Chapter Committee will review and communicate the determination shortly after the request is filed with the Alumni Office.
Data / List Request
Chapters are eligible for up to two data requests each year to assist with communication efforts. The Alumni Office will facilitate these requests.
Open A University Account
Chapters' accounts held at Eastern Michigan University can benefit from tax-exempt status. Quarterly account reports will be provided.
Events Calendar
Chapter events will be listed on the full University Event Calendar and the alumni office website. Chapters must complete the online form to have their events included. There is no limit to the number of events that can be listed.
Event Registration
One paid event per year can be hosted in the alumni office for registration and payment processing. Additionally, one free event per year can be hosted through the alumni office system for registration.
Speaker & Presenters
The Alumni Office will assist chapters in finding speakers or presenters for events and activities, subject to resource availability.

Class Notes Expand dropdownWe are always interested in what our alums have been doing since leaving EMU. We want to share in your successes, recognize your achievements and celebrate your life milestones. Share the birth of a new child/grandchild, engagement, wedding or significant birthday, as well as, work promotions, awards won or other achievements. Don't forget to include a fun photo to go along with your class note.
