Professional

Kayla Street (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor and Faculty Clinical Coordinator. She first joined Eastern Michigan University as a guest lecturer in March 2018, then transitioned to a Part-Time Lecturer role in January 2021, before becoming a full-time Assistant Professor in August 2024.

She is a certified physician assistant with clinical experience in primary care, practicing in outpatient non-profit and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) settings. Her special interests include pediatrics and adolescent medicine, as well as public health, health equity, medical ethics, and quality improvement and patient safety. In addition to teaching in the PA program, she is the Lead Clinical Consultant for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Child and Adolescent Health Center Program (CAHC).

Ms. Street is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), where she served as a health education volunteer in Albania from 2006-2008.
