Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium (SMIFC)

Students in the Eagle Investment Fund can attend the Student Managed Investment Fund Consortium (SMIFC). The SMIFC is a yearly investment conference held in Chicago which typically happens in October, with over 100 member schools.

Students will learn from presentations from advisors and various investment firms such as BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, etc. Students can also build a network with present firm representatives and fellow students from other universities.

Selected EIF students can also compete in portfolio competitions with cash prizes. The competitions range from a poster presentation on the performance of the EIF to a specific stock analysis. EIF has placed 3rd in both 2022 and 2023 for the stock analysis and portfolio construction competitions.
