Meet the Advisors
The Eagle Investment Fund is advised by professional and academic leaders. The advising team oversees and approves all trades as outlined in the Investment Policy Statement. The professional advisors ensure that the EIF policies are consistent with professional standards and ensure that students receive the same feedback that will be given in their careers. They also provide job opportunities and industry networks. The academic advisors provide theoretical context and facilitate routine operations.

Matthew Grezlik, CFP ®, CIMA ®

Paul Roney, CPA, MBA
Paul Roney is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. He holds an MBA and is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Paul has served as the President of Domino’s Farms Corporation and Executive Director of the Ave Maria Foundation since 1998. He has been an active member of the Ann Arbor business community for years and has served on the SPARK Executive Committee since 2015.
He is the Owner’s Representative in the development of Ave Maria, Florida, a planned university town in southwest Florida on 16 square miles of land. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of the Catholic Advisory Board of the Ave Maria Mutual Funds ($2.5 billion in assets). Prior to his current position, Mr. Roney was employed at Ernst & Young and served six years as the corporate treasurer of Domino’s Pizza, Inc. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Shamrock Bank of Florida from 2007-2014, at which time it was sold to another Florida bank.

Sherwin Prior, MBA
Sherwin Prior is the Director of the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund where he is responsible for identifying venture capital investment opportunities across the supply chain and logistics industry. He brings over twenty years of career experience in venture capital investing and equity fund management, with previous service at notable companies such as Morgan Stanley and General Motors.
At GM, he launched and managed GM Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm. He focused the fund's activities on start-ups in cleantech, infotainment, advanced materials, and other automotive-related technologies to support GM’s core business. Sherwin earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Finance from Eastern Michigan University. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Laurie Stengenga, CPA, CFP®, PFS, AIF®, CEPA
Laurie Stegenga is President and founder of Foresight Capital Management Advisors, Inc., a fee-only Registered Investment Advisory firm. Her past financial work experience has spanned 38 years of managing and accounting for billions of dollars in investments. Laurie became a NAPFA-registered advisor in March 2011 and is listed on the Fee-Only Network website, www.feeonlynetwork.com. She is a member of the MICPA, AICPA, NAPFA, AIF, FPA, Estate Planning Councils of Michigan, and Exit Planning Institute.
Laurie was named Five Star Wealth Manager award winner and named in HOUR Detroit and DBusiness for six consecutive years, 2016-2021. Other Foresight professional accomplishments include: Featured in Forbes Magazine - Michigan Financial – June 2010 and The Wall Street Journal - September 12, 2016. Listed in The Wall Street Journal, July 29, 2020 and June 2, 2021. Foresight was also listed as a top-ranking RIA firm in the July 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2021 issues of Financial Advisor Magazine.

Ken Stemme, CFA, CAIA
Ken Stemme is currently Senior Managing Director of Income Strategies and ESG for the United Auto Workers Retiree Medical Benefits Trust, monitoring investments managers investing approximately $40 billion in income-oriented strategies for the Trust. Prior to joining the Trust in 2019, Ken was the Investment Director for the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation in Washington DC, managing a $2.5 billion multi asset class portfolio which emphasized fixed income. He began his institutional investing career with the International Monetary Fund, where he managed the hedge fund allocations and co-managed fixed income. Ken began his career in 1990 in the hedge fund of funds industry, first at Harris Associates in Chicago and then managing portfolios of hedge funds for CIBC Oppenheimer, American Express Asset Management, Northern Trust, and Larch Lane Advisors. He is currently a member of the Principles for Responsible Investment’s Asset Owner Technical Advisory Committee. Ken is a CFA and CAIA charterholder with degrees from Cornell University and DePaul University.
