Our finance faculty are focused on providing a competitive, high-quality finance curriculum that gives students the ability to prepare for careers in many areas, including corporate finance, commercial banking, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and financial planning.

Undergraduate Learning Experience:

  • Students benefit from a modernized curriculum to help them enhance their quantitative and analytical skills. 
  • Develop strong professionalism and ethical behavior.
  • Apply your theoretical knowledge through experiential learning using Bloomberg terminals in our investment learning center (coming Fall 2019). 

Graduate Learning Experience:

  • A rigorous, STEM-designated MSF program that provides students with a deep understanding of modern finance.
  • The curriculum covers over 70% of the CFA Body of Knowledge preparing students to sit for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams. 
  • The lock-step structure of the MSF program allows students to begin and progress through the program with the same set of peers to help build a strong, collaborative network.
  • Research opportunities with our finance faculty
  • Practical learning experiences using Bloomberg terminals in our investment learning center.

Student Involvement:

  • Our students have the opportunity to participate in the Financial Management Association, EMU chapter.
  • Students network with guest speakers from the finance industry.
  • Chapter members have traveled to New York and Chicago to learn about various aspects of the financial markets.
