Emergency Management

The Eastern Michigan University Emergency Management Office is dedicated to creating and maintaining  a safe and resilient campus community through mitigation, preparedness, training and educational outreach efforts.  Using an all-hazards approach, EMU Emergency Management works to mitigate the effects of, plan for, respond to and quickly recover from emergencies.

 

Emergency Response and Evacuation Procedures

Eastern Michigan Unversity has developed emergency response procedures for many of the hazards that could potentially affect the Ypsilanti campus community. The emergency response procedure serves as a guide for specifice emergency response actions that students, faculty, staff and visiotrs can take should an incident occur. Individuals need to keep in mind that each incident is unique and to keep their response actions flexible and scalable to the incident. The procedures can be viewed at:
