The new media area of concentration focuses on the creation of artwork that is temporal in character. Students within new media explore a number of methods and forms to define personal and/or collaborative practices such as, web media, digital video, experimental animation, interactive installation, and performance art. Technical instruction is woven with conceptual and methodological approaches to new media. Students are asked to develop innovative approaches to new media within the discourses of contemporary theory and art practice.
